    ACADM antibody
    Cat.#: 2758-1
    Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody

    Clone ID: EPR3707
    Swiss Prot: P11310
    Mol Weight: 43kDa
    Size: 100ul

    Description
Medium-chain acyl-CoA dehydrogenase (MCAD, ACADM) is a highly regulated member of a family of mitochondrial flavoenzymes that is essential for the beta-oxidation of medium chain fatty acids (1, 2). ACADM is active with acyl chain length of C4-C16. It is one of three similar enzymes that catalyze the initial step of fatty acid beta-oxidation (3). Deficiency of ACADM is a common inherited defect in energy metabolism (1).
