APP Phospho(pT743)antibody
Cat.#: 3926-1
Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody
Clone ID: EPR826(2)
Swiss Prot: P05067
Mol Weight: 100 - 120kDa
Size: 100ul
Description
Alzheimer's disease (AD) is characterized by the presence of senile plaques in the brain and blood vessel walls. Amyloid Beta A4 (Aβ4) protein has been found to be the principal constituent of senile plaques of ADs patients (1-2). APP is proteolytically cleaved to generate the 4 kDa Aβ4 protein. Two variants of Aβ4 can be detected; Aβ1-40 short-tailed and Aβ1-42 long-tailed (3-4).
Recommended Applications
WB, IP
Applications and Recommended Dilution Factors
WB: 1:1,000 - 10,000
IP: 1:10 - 100
Species Reactivity
Human, Mouse, Rat
Species cross-reactivity is based on WB analysis
Products Data
Western blot analysis on human brain lysates using anti-Phospho-APP (pT743) RabMAb (cat. #3926-1). Cells were either (A) untreated (B) treated with Lambda Phosphatase.
Specificity
A phospho specific peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Threonine 743 of human APP was used as an immunogen. This antibody only detects APP phosphorylated at Threonine 743.
Storage Condition and Buffer
Store at -20° C. Buffer: 50 mM Tris-Glycine (pH 7.4), 0.15 M NaCl, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% sodium azide and 0.05% BSA. Stable for 12 months from date of receipt.
Alternative Names
APP antibody, AAA antibody, ABETA antibody, ABPP antibody, AD1 antibody, APPI antibody, CTFgamma antibody, CVAP antibody, PN2 antibody, C31 antibody, Gamma-CTF(50) antibody
